News Post – 26th September 2023

We are very pleased to have won a planning appeal for our proposals relating to a rear extension and dormer-loft conversion in the London Borough of Havering. Although extremely frustrating to have been refused planning permission initially, we wouldn’t be beaten, and after months of hard work, we successfully overturned the decision. It cannot be stressed enough the resistance we met from a very difficult planning department along the way. We are genuinely thrilled that we have achieved permission for what will be a wonderful home for our client, with the Appeals Officer noting the ‘sympathetic, high quality and contemporary design.”
We have lost out on a number of commissions lately, as potential customers have opted to proceed with cheaper designers offering a lesser scope of service. However, we won’t change our methods, as we firmly believe in the quality of our work and the results that we achieve for our clients. MiL Architects always go the extra mile!

Project Complete!

No.7

MiL Architects always go the extra mile for our clients, but it’s never been as true as for this project – almost 1400 miles away in Lithuania!!
Forget site visits – this entire project was carried out from Facebook, including the site survey. All the dimensions were sent to us via several video messages, and translated piece by piece until we were able to prepare the drawings. Needless to say, modelling in 3D gave everyone the confidence that they were captured accurately.
From there, design proposals quickly followed – again, shared with the end user via Facebook Messenger. Hats off to a very good contractor who didn’t need to ask a single question the whole way through. A very enjoyable project for MiL Architects, and a completely transformed new home for our client, just in time for Christmas.
